Southern California Edison remains committed to meeting the needs of community members and delivering dedicated support to serve the high level of interest in its Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program. On-demand resources and one-on-one assistance are available in multiple languages to eligible individuals and businesses impacted by the Eaton Fire through Nov. 30, 2026 – including the final weeks of December 2025.
When the program launched on Oct. 29, SCE committed to process claims quickly (within 90 days of being substantially complete) and deliver fast payments (within 30 days, after all conditions have been satisfied). Less than two months later, offers are being extended and accepted, and more payments are being made. In fact, all settlement agreements satisfied by noon on Dec. 26, 2025 will have payments issued by year-end, provided there are no pending actions related to minors.
“It’s been a challenging, trying year for the community,” said Pedro J. Pizarro, president and CEO of Edison International, SCE’s parent company. “Our team recognizes the urgency and is focused on making it quick and easy for claimants to take the next step toward recovery, especially during the holiday season.”
