Walker & Dunlop Strengthens Texas Platform with Multifamily Expert Mike Bryant

Walker & Dunlop, Inc. announced today that it has expanded its presence in Texas with a regional CBRE veteran, Mike Bryant. As senior managing director, based in and native to Dallas, Bryant will be responsible for new loan originations, with a focus on multifamily lending through government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Bryant brings over 40 years of commercial real estate finance experience, having originated more than $10 billion in loans throughout his career. His deep expertise includes equity and debt financing across a wide range of property types, including multifamily, office, retail, industrial and hospitality. He also brings extensive experience in loan modification and debt restructuring, along with a comprehensive knowledge of lending sources including life insurance companies, CMBS, GSEs and alternative funding platforms.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Bryant served as vice chairman and managing director of the Dallas Debt and Structured Finance department at CBRE for 13 years in addition to other positions at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage and Capmark Financial Services. He is also a former member of Freddie Mac’s Independent Advisory Council.
