Miami running back CharMar Brown exits game at Wake Forest with 1st-half injury

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Fifth-ranked Miami saw running back CharMar Brown exit Friday night's game at Wake Forest before halftime with an injury.

Brown went down in the second quarter on the heels of a 32-yard run, with the redshirt junior getting loose around the right side and turning upfield before being taken down inches just shy of the goal line. He stayed down in the end zone with team medical staff examining his right knee.

Brown was eventually helped to the Miami sideline, hopping on his left foot with no weight on his right leg before eventually being carted to the tunnel.

The Hurricanes also saw defensive lineman Ahmad Moten Sr. briefly exit the game in the first quarter, with the fifth-year senior staying down on his left knee behind the play on Ty Clark III’s 13-yard catch during Wake Forest's first possession. He eventually got to his feet and headed straight to the locker room with his left arm hanging by his side, though he returned later in the first half.
