Dodgers' Jansen has heater back after early fall struggles



After slumping for weeks with slipping velocity and toothless bite on his signature cutter, Kenley Jansen reached 95.2 mph while closing out the Los Angeles Dodgers' 6-2 Game 3 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. It was his fastest pitch since early September, a sign the three-time All-Star might be over his mysterious struggles. Jansen had been wholly unreliable for the Dodgers early in the postseason, but after getting a week off during the NL Championship Series, he seems to have found his best stuff at the perfect time.
