MILTON, Ga. (AP) — Authorities in Georgia have arrested a man they say shot at someone and barricaded himself for hours inside a multimillion-dollar mansion.
News outlets report the three-hour situation ended Thursday night when police arrested 23-year-old Nikolas Alexander Cole in Milton, Georgia, an affluent Atlanta suburb. Milton spokeswoman Jennifer Hartwig told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution he faces aggravated assault and criminal property damage charges.
A man told police that Cole shot at him when he returned to the house to retrieve his belongings after an argument. He wasn't injured.
Video taken by news helicopters showed armored SWAT vehicles in front of the home. Police say Cole surrendered peacefully after a SWAT vehicle broke through a door of the six-car garage.
