Morris Brown College' interim president named permanently

ATLANTA — After temporarily leading Morris Brown College, the university said Friday it had moved Kevin James into the post permanently. The university said in a news release that James had been interim president of the historically black college in Atlanta since March 2019. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports he replaced Stanley Pritchett who resigned at the end of 2018. The college is working to regain its accreditation from the Virginia-based Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools. Because Morris Brown is not accredited, students are unable to receive federal loans.
