BUCHANAN, Ga. — A Georgia grand jury won't indict a judge on misdemeanor battery charges after his wife recanted her accusation. The Times-Georgian of Carrollton reports Haralson County grand jurors on Friday declined to indict Superior Court Judge Meng Lim. Lim had been arrested in July and charged in connection with a February incident. Authorities said in July that the judge’s wife told a friend about being hit multiple times by Lim during an argument. Now, though, the Haralson County District Attorney says the wife contends she was hit by Lim’s 15-year-old daughter. The Judicial Qualifications Commission continues to investigate Lim, and it's unclear when he might return to the bench.
