(The Center Square) – Former President Barack Obama will appear with Georgia Democratic candidates on Oct.28.

The rally, called "United for Georgia," will take place in Atlanta, according to the Democratic Party of Georgia.

Obama will appear with gubernatorial candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms and U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff, who is facing a challenge from Republican U.S. Mike Collins.

The former president is coming to Georgia at a time when Ossoff continues to lead Collins in the polls and Bottoms is in a tight race with Republican Rick Jackson.

The latest poll from InsiderAdvantage, released Wednesday, shows Jackson ahead 49%-47%. Four percent of the 800 likely voters were undecided.

Collins has consistently trailed behind Ossoff.

Obama's visit comes just days after President Donald Trump campaigned for Republicans in Dalton, Ga.
