Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) – the world’s preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol – today announced the opening of its new, state-of-the-art distribution facility in Lexington County, South Carolina. Located at 4358 12th St. Extension in West Columbia, the 412,500-square-foot warehouse and office campus further strengthens the Company’s supply chain network and enhances service capabilities for customers and suppliers across the state.

Situated on an 85-acre campus, the West Columbia facility was designed to support Southern Glazer’s long-term growth in South Carolina, with expansion capacity of more than 300,000 additional square feet. The modern distribution center incorporates advanced material handling systems, increased storage capacity and scalable infrastructure to support future market needs.

Southern Glazer’s worked closely with the Lexington County Economic Development team throughout the site selection and development process. The County provided critical support across permitting and planning, helping ensure the project was completed on schedule while positioning the facility for future expansion and long-term collaboration with Lexington County.

The West Columbia facility includes 13 receiving dock positions, 22 shipping dock positions, parking for 279 vehicles and capacity for 108 trailers. The building incorporates advanced material handling and storage capabilities, including:

Storage capacity for approximately 1.39 million cases
Two multi-level pick modules with a combined capacity of 75,000 cases
Four dual-purpose palletizers capable of processing up to 800 cases per hour each
Dedicated bottle and cold rooms to support a wide range of product needs
Infrastructure designed to optimize workflow, accuracy and order fulfillment
