FARMINGTON, N.M.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep 24, 2025--

Navajo Transitional Energy Company (NTEC) issued an annual dividend of $3,150,000 to its sole shareholder, the Navajo Nation today. This is the largest annual dividend for the company to date. The dividend is calculated based on NTEC’s fully consolidated financial performance, including operations on the Navajo Nation and in Wyoming and Montana. The dividend reflects the strong performance of NTEC and is in addition to the more than $128 million economic contribution from NTEC on the Navajo Nation in 2024 - through royalties, taxes, wages, and charitable donations. The check was presented to Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren and Resources and Development Committee members Rickie Nez and Casey Johnson at a ceremony held at the Nenahnezad Chapter House today.

“We are proud to present this dividend payment to the Nation. NTEC was created by the Navajo Nation to promote the economic sovereignty of the Navajo Nation, as well as the financial, physical, and cultural well-being of the Navajo people,” said Tim McLaughlin, Chairman of NTEC’s Board. “This dividend is part of NTEC’s continuing success in fulfilling that purpose.”
