Cold-Link Logistics Announces Major Expansion of Providence Cold Storage Facility

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar 10, 2026--

Cold-Link Logistics (“Cold-Link”), one of the 10 largest privately-held cold storage platforms in North America, announced today a major expansion and upgrade of Cold-Link Logistics Providence, a tri‑temperature cold storage facility at 1 All American Way in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The investment will add 65,000 square feet of freezer space, positioning Cold‑Link to meet surging regional demand for high‑quality, energy‑efficient cold storage.

Once the expansion of the existing 64,000 square feet facility is complete, it will span a total of 129,000 square feet. The expansion will add 13,500 frozen pallet positions, more than tripling total on‑site capacity to 18,000. The renovation will feature a state‑of‑the‑art upgrade, including the installation of a more efficient refrigeration system, expanded loading dock capacity from 14 to 17, and a new fire protection system. As part of the project, 3,000 square feet of current ambient space will be repurposed for freezer capacity. The expansion of the rail‑served Providence facility will enhance its capacity to serve over 15 million consumers in nearby metropolitan hubs, support existing customers in and around the Quonset Business Park, attract larger tenants, and contribute to regional economic growth through job creation.
