AAM Insurance Investment Management Appoints Dan Byrnes as President

AAM Insurance Investment Management (AAM) is pleased to announce the promotion of Dan Byrnes to the newly created role of President, effective March 1, 2025. In this capacity, Byrnes will report to Chairman and CEO John Schaefer, oversee the Portfolio Management team, and continue his direct engagement with clients as a Portfolio Manager.

Byrnes joined AAM in 2003 and has served as a Portfolio Manager since 2006, working with numerous Property & Casualty, Health, and Life insurance clients. He has also been instrumental in establishing AAM as a thought leader within the Government Risk Pool sector.

Before joining AAM, Byrnes worked as an accountant at CNA Insurance. He holds a CFA Charter and is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago. Byrnes earned a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
