Broken is a song born of heartbreak. In 6 weeks time, we learned about my Dad's pancreatic cancer, my mother had major surgery and was in the hospital, and we had a personal traumatic issue with our children. In my attempt to make sense of these issues, especially the latter, I didn't think I could hold anything else. Nothing more would fit in and stay. I was all spilled out. My life, what I thought was my life, was BROKEN and nothing I could do would fix it. I know in my heart that our Heavenly Father sees and has a plan, even when we don't . There are many blessings if we know where to look. I wrote Broken as an expression of that hope.

My song Carry Me Through is about the daily struggles we have in life. How we easily fall away from God and are pulled into life's temptations and struggles. That I need to remember and hold on to His grace and mercy each day, to "Lead me Back..........and Carry Me Through"
