Stunning A Cappella Rendition of The Beatles’ ‘Blackbird’

The A Cappella Academy’s simply stunning a cappella rendition of The Beatles’ “Blackbird” will take your breath away. It’s the most beautiful version of “Blackbird” you will ever hear. Don’t hesitate to play the video and give it a listen.

The cover is arranged so beautifully and with great imagination. It deserves to be broadcast far and wide. There’s no underestimating it. It’s simply stunning.

As the nine vocalists gather on the stage, they all have an essential part to sing. They prove no instruments are necessary—their voices are their instruments, and they are perfectly tuned. There are many harmonious moments added to the song, which make even the non-lyrical moments shine with beauty. To perform such an incredible feat, every member must have a skilled ear and voice. They bring an emotional depth and intention to the classic Beatles piece.

Some moments are just whispers of sound—a light melody, but then they swing to something strong and controlled. Somehow, it all blends together perfectly.

Some of the lyrics the group sings are:

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

When you hear this sweet song, it’s like nothing else exists. You just want to bask in their voices and the beautiful melody, hoping the short song will somehow last forever. It is not only technically perfect but also deep and emotional. This performance pulls out the deep meaning of the song, which was written about the Civil Rights Movement. It’s impossible not to connect with the song and feel its hope through these performers.

This song excellently showcases the power of music. It has the potential to take you to another place and touch your soul when you least expect it.

This New Take on The Eagles’ Classic ‘Hotel California’ Will Blow You Away

This electrifying new take on The Eagles’ classic ‘Hotel California’ will blow you away, no question. This vintage Havana-style cover will take you back to another time. Play the video to hear the astounding cover.

This cover almost doesn’t sound anything like the original song—in the best way. It’s jazzy and laid-back and feels vintage and classy. The video is entertaining all on its own, too. You feel like you’re sitting at a fancy restaurant in old times. There’s even a little salsa dance number before the song ends, which adds to the entertaining experience.

The lead singer, Rogelio Douglas, Jr., has one of those incredibly gifted voices that doesn’t need any accompaniment. His voice is breathtaking all on its own. Once you start listening, you won’t want to stop. He belts the lyrics:

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
They livin' it up at the Hotel California

As Rogelio takes his time with the lyrics, it prompts you to reflect on the song's real meaning. It warns how wealth can destroy, and happiness through wealth is an illusion. It reminds us that the grass really isn’t all that greener on the other side.

The beautiful arrangement brings a new warmth to the song, which feels both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. It even includes the original coda guitar riff, but spices it up with the sax and trombone. The quality of the song and video is almost cinematic, and it’s clear that great thought has been put into the details of the performance.

You can tell the performers are having fun, and the energy is contagious. It’s an atmosphere that pulls you onto the stage with the performers—like you’re sharing the moment with them, and you’ll want to go back to it again and again.

Loretta Lynn’s Granddaughter, Emmy Russell, Delivers Heartfelt ‘Lay Me Down’ Rendition

Watch this precious tribute from a granddaughter to her grandmother. Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter, Emmy Russell, delivers a heartfelt ‘Lay Me Down’ rendition.

Emmy has such a stunning and unique voice. She is poised, stunning, and has a sweet spirit about her. Her twang sound wows the audience. They are speechless.

This evening is to honor one of the greats in country music. Those present are graced by the presence of this young woman, who is up there just singing in memory of her grandmother. It is truly precious to think about the generations sharing their love of a skill and career.

Emmy herself has sung as a contestant on American Idol and is following in the footsteps of her grandmother in country music. She clearly has a gift and is an artist all her own. Her voice is so unique, you have never heard anything quite like it.

She has a high, gentle quality in her tone and an honesty in her voice. She is a true story teller like Dolly Parton, Reba, or Loretta Lynn. You will enjoy every moment of this performance and even more so knowing that it is the songwriter’s family member remembering her well.

This song is the perfect memorial to Loretta Lynn. The chorus says:

When they lay me down someday
My soul will rise and fly away
This old world will turn around
I'll be at peace when then lay me down

At the end of her performance, Emmy sweetly thanks the audience as they cheer. Jesus gives every sinner hope for life after death and encourages us to have confidence and peace in eternity with Him by His gift of salvation to all who believe in Him.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9

Stunning AGT Performance Puts Unexpected Twist on ABBA Classic

Check out this stunning performance on America’s Got Talent where a singer takes a popular hit song and gives it an unexpected twist. The song is ABBA’s ‘Dancing Queen,’ and the woman who is auditioning is named Debbii Dawson. This is one performance that will really leave you impressed!

‘Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go
Where they play the right music
Getting in the swing, you come to look for a king’

Before the start of her audition, Debbii was asked what her main goal was with auditioning. “Win America’s Got Talent and finally come out of my shell and show the world what I love to do,” she replied. “Music is everything to me. It’s more than a hobby, it’s my legacy.”

She goes on to share how her grandfather taught himself in India to play the organ by drawing on concrete with charcoal, and that’s how he taught her dad. Then her dad went on to teach her music. It has been something that the family has loved for generations.

During her AGT audition, Debbi turned ABBA's ‘Dancing Queen’ into her own unique hit! The audience absolutely loved it and couldn’t stop cheering for her. She even got a standing ovation from them after she finished her performance.

“The way you sound, it’s so sweet and soothing. You really do have a star quality,” shared Howie Mandel after Debbii’s performance.

“There’s something about you,” commented Sofía Vergara. “I wouldn’t mind listening to your voice all day long. It’s amazing. I love it!”

Simon Cowell concluded the commentary from the judges by complimenting Debbii’s choice to take a risk with the song and make it her own. “I really like the fact that you’ve taken one of the most well-known pop songs of all time and literally made it your version,” he said. “I’m going to remember this audition, and I’m really, really happy that you’ve auditioned on this show.”

After a beautiful audition, it’s clear to see why Debbii was rewarded with four yeses from the judges!

This The Voice Singer Wows Judges with Electrifying ‘Edge of Seventeen’ Rendition

This The Voice singer wows the judges with an electrifying rendition of “Edge of Seventeen” that sends chills up the spine. The 24-year-old could not sound more perfectly unique. Watch the performance to hear her incredible voice.

Amelia (Milly) Monk absolutely astounds the Australian judges with her performance. Each one nods their head in rapt attention as Milly starts out. Less than a minute into the song, she has already had two judges hit their buzzers.

Five seconds more, and all the judges have their chairs turned around. At the end of her song, Milly gasps in surprise at seeing all of the judges there with their chairs turned, wanting her on their teams. And it’s not just the judges who are impressed; the whole room erupts in applause.

It’s no surprise that all the judges loved her. She has a unique, slightly raspy voice that is much like Stevie Nicks ' and makes her ideally suited to sing Nicks’ song, “Edge of Seventeen.” Some of the lyrics she croons are:

Well, he seemed broken-hearted
Something within him
But the moment that I first laid eyes on him
All alone, on the edge of 17
It is also a very unique song choice, and it makes her stand out. It’s one of those songs that’s older now and blurs genres. But as exemplified by Milly, all generations have come to love it.

“It was intense, but I sang my heart out and gave it everything I had,” she said of competing. “Standing alongside some of the biggest voices in the competition and holding my own was such an honor.”

Milly has a strong stage presence, and you just want to watch her as she sings. She radiates with confidence and vulnerability. No matter where she goes with the competition, it’s clear that she’s destined for a career in music.

Stunning ‘Superstition’ Cover Earns 4-Chair Turn on The Voice

This stunning cover of “Superstition” earned a four-chair turn on The Voice. This was a fantastic rendition of the beloved Stevie Wonder classic, and the judges were all moved to flip their chairs around for the man singing the tune. Watch the short but thoroughly enjoyable clip to listen to and watch the jaw-dropping performance.

Musical covers, while incredibly popular, can be tricky. Attempting to cover an iconic tune that is known and loved worldwide is a tall task. Depending on the specific song, everyone will immediately be reminded of the original, and if the cover falls well short, it will be apparent to all. Nobody wants to be accused of completely ruining a classic tune.

On the other hand, if the performer knocks the cover out of the park, it will cause people to sit up and take notice. So, it’s a high-risk, high-reward scenario. This is the case anytime someone tries to cover a song by The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Adele, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston or Celine Dion. Everyone knows their songs, and when it comes to the women, most people cannot reach those notes.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a young man covered a song from a legendary artist who is equally loved as those previously mentioned: Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition.” Instead of keeping people in suspense, the young man, David Faulkner, let everyone know that we were listening to something special within the opening moments of his stellar performance. This man showcased his musical talent, delivering a vocal performance that left the judges in awe and had the studio audience singing and clapping along.

Soon after belting out the tune’s opening lyrics, the first judge hits his button, causing his chair to flip around for the young man. Then, the other three judges, which included legendary singer Tom Jones, all followed later.

How could you not have enjoyed this performance? It was fantastic!

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Her Cover of LeAnn Rimes’ ‘Blue’ on The Voice is Stunning

Kayleigh Clark is an incredibly talented country artist, no question about it. Her cover of LeAnn Rimes’ “Blue” on The Voice is stunning and jaw-dropping. Play the video to see it for yourself.

The Voice contestant does wonderful justice to the LeAnn Rimes classic. She yodels a couple “Blue” notes like only a true country girl can. She has perfect breath control. And “Blue” is the perfect song for her to cover. Kayleigh sings the bittersweet lyrics so well, with such feeling, that it is almost believable that she’s singing the lyrics from her very own experience.

Some of the simple but soul-wrenching lyrics are:

So lonesome I could cry

Blue

Oh, so lonesome for you

Why can't you be blue over me?

Rimes’ original song has a stronger country twang than Kayleigh, but Kayleigh is a near-true match for Rimes. She mimics Rimes's sweet country notes perfectly and leans into the soulful ache of each lyric. She understands the song’s emotional weight.

What makes her performance even more impressive is the confidence she carries on stage. It’s clear that this isn’t her first rodeo. She just does her thing, and the audience—including the judges—is completely captivated. As she sings, the room is quiet as they take in her performance in awe.

When she’s finally done, judges Michael Bublé and Niall Horan stand and clap, though all four judges watched her in awe. She couldn’t have made the song sound any cleaner. Though she didn’t continue in the singing competition, it is certain that she will still have a promising singing career.

If she can cover “Blue” this well, she could probably tackle just about any song she chooses with ease. This performance surely got her some fans who will be watching to see what other amazing things she will do.

Stunning Piano Cover of The Beatles’ ‘Let It Be’

The Beatles never fail to bridge generations. And if you have never heard “Let It Be” in just instrumental form, it’s time. YouTube’s Piano Mario has a stunning piano cover of The Beatles’ “Let It Be” that will leave you impressed. Play the video to hear it.

Piano Mario does an excellent job of bringing the song to life through his piano keys. For those who want to play along with him, he provides images of sheet music and helpful frames of his keys lighting up when he presses them. As you listen, you will be reminded of the lyrics:

And when the broken-hearted people living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be

But each chord of the song is filled with emotion, warmth, and comfort—no lyrics needed. Once you listen to it, you won’t regret it. Hearing the song on piano keys alone allows you to appreciate the strong composition of the music.

Its melody is wonderful all by itself. It allows you to appreciate the rhythm and harmony. Mario’s interpretation highlights little details in the Beatles song that would usually be glossed over in a full band or typical vocal version.

Mario’s visual performance is surprisingly relaxing. You feel in tune with the music as you watch the keys glow with light. It’s like magic, seeing the music being created in real time. It takes you on a calm and reflective journey.

Even if you aren’t a pianist or even a musician, there is much to appreciate in this cover. It is soothing to the soul and an experience worth savoring and revisiting again and again.

Jazz McKenzie Brings the House Down with Epic ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ on The Voice

Jazz McKenzie brought the house down with an epic rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin’” on The Voice. It was a powerhouse performance of a tune that is known by all and beloved by many. Watch the short but jaw-dropping clip to hear Jazz’s cover of the Journey hit.

Covers are not going anywhere any time soon. Everyone does covers now and then. It doesn’t matter if you’re The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley or Kelly Clarkson; if you’re a musician, covers are just part of what you do. So, for individuals who are not a fan of iconic songs being sung by others, you’re all out of luck, and I apologize.

Shows like American Idol, America’s Got Talent and The Voice, along with social media platforms such as TikTok and YouTube, appear to have reignited the popularity of covers. Nearly every performance on those programs is a cover. Some, of course, are better than others, but that is always the case when speaking about covers.

But there is one song that seems to get covered more than all the rest: Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.” It’s a song that everyone knows and loves, with a catchy, familiar beat and inspiring, uplifting lyrics about not giving up – the perfect song to cover, in other words. In a clip posted on YouTube, Jazz adds to the long list of “Don’t Stop Believin’” covers, and it’s absolutely fantastic.

The young woman demonstrates her beautiful voice, flexing those musical muscles for all to see. It’s a performance that you’ll want to watch and listen to repeatedly. It is simply that good. It even caused Niall Horan to threaten Michael Bublé with the end of their friendship if he did not put her into the finals.

After a jaw-dropping performance like that, how could you not put her into the finals?

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Stunning Cover of Simon Garfunkel’s ‘The Boxer’ Will Give You Chills

Oh, how this song reminds me of letting go of my son as he grew up and flew the nest. It's so tender, so sweet, and beautiful with a touch of bluegrass, the kind of music that slips right under your ribs and pulls old memories gently to the surface. You will fall in love with this stunning cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘The Boxer’ and it will give you chills!

This moving rendition of the song is actually a collaboration between The Petersens and the Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra. Together they’ve gained 76,547 views, and once you watch it, you’ll understand why. It’s the kind of performance that feels like a letter home. A quiet ache. A soft reminder of the years that roll by faster than any of us expect, with the background covered in softly dim light as they stand around taking their turns to sing and play.

The video itself is pure and straightforward, filmed in the historic Castlerock Chapel in Hollister, Missouri, and that simplicity makes it even more powerful. Their passion, instruments, and voices are woven together like an old quilt stitched with love and longing.

And maybe that’s what hits so hard.

Because every parent knows what it feels like to stand at the doorway of growing up, to watch your child pack their bags, chase their dreams, or walk into a world you can no longer protect them from. You hear the line “When I left my home and my family, I was no more than a boy…” and suddenly you’re right back in that moment. The car pulling out of the driveway. The last hug that lingers. The way your heart stretches across miles you can’t cross.

The Petersens shared that they learned this song in the most down-to-earth way — sending voice memos back and forth, rehearsing for just a few minutes, and then simply turning on the cameras to see what would unfold. And what unfolded is breathtaking.

Hayde’s Nordic folk sound blends seamlessly with classic American bluegrass, making it difficult to distinguish where one ends and the other begins. Fiddles dance. Harmonies fall into place. And then comes the a cappella moment near the end — soft, haunting, holy in the gentlest way.

The combination of talent is stunning, but even more, it’s heartfelt. You can feel the joy of collaboration. You can feel the story inside the song. And for many of us, you can feel that tug of remembering a child who once stood small in your doorway — before they stepped into the world to find the places only they would know.

This video is a rare gift.
Simple. Honest. Beautiful.
The kind that stays with you long after the last “lie-la-lie” fades.

If you’re a parent, grab a tissue.
If you’re a music lover, turn up the volume.
And if you’re both — well, this one will find you right where you are.

3 John 1:4 “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

Take Me Home, Country Roads' Dazzling Violin Cover

There’s something about the sound of a violin that reaches places words can’t.You will adore listening to ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’ in this dazzling violin cover.  And when those long, lingering notes stretch across the air, they can feel almost like a gentle invitation, like someone is calling you home.

With the Grand Canyon standing behind her like a masterpiece painted by the Father Himself, British violinist Holly May plays with a tenderness that seems to rise straight out of her soul.

The wind brushes through her hair and pulls at her cowboy hat. The sun warms part of the shadowed canyon walls. And the music—oh, the music—moves as if the landscape is listening.

Holly may be a teen in the middle of life, but she plays with an old soul. She first picked up the violin at just thirteen, and she began composing her own music the very same year. Some hearts simply know what they were made for. And she is truly one of them!

Now, years later, music has become the rhythm of her life. She owns a collection of instruments, including eight violins, and dreams of creating original pieces inspired by film and video games. Her passion has already carried her across the world. In 2022, she was chosen as a winner by Sir Elton John in a global cover competition for his song “Cold Heart.” Since then, she has performed everywhere from Santa Monica to Ibiza to Nashville, sometimes planned, sometimes spontaneous—always full of joy.

But there’s something extra special about this moment at the Grand Canyon. With nothing but quiet beauty around her, Holly plays as though the music is weaving a prayer—one that stirs memories, softens worries, and reminds weary hearts of the comfort of home. It’s almost as if we hear our own mother humming to us as we drift off to sleep while she’s drying the dishes.

For anyone walking through hard days, carrying heavy loads, or simply longing for a bit of peace, this simple performance offers a gentle reminder: God often reaches us in ways we don’t expect. Sometimes through Scripture. Sometimes through people. And sometimes—oh, sometimes—through the sweet, familiar sound of a song that feels like home.

Exodus 33:14 “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

A Cappella Group's Electrifying Rendition of Ray Charles’ ‘Hit the Road Jack’

Prepare to be wowed by this all-male group. They have the making for the big leagues in music. Check out this video of an a cappella group's electrifying rendition of Ray Charles’ ‘Hit the Road Jack.’

This song will immediately intrigue you and have you eager to hear more. Five young men stand in front of a sports car and a blue screen, singing with confidence. Their group is called VoicePlay, and they have a featured artist named Deejay Young with them.

The lead vocalist has a smooth and strong voice with flair. The background vocals are tight harmonies with unexpected notes. As the song continues and close-ups are shown on each individual, you will gain a better understanding of who is singing each vocal part.

It is always amazing to hear what the human voice is capable of achieving in a group. It reminds us of the importance and value of community. By themselves, these singers are each just singing their own part, but all together, they are making stunning music. This truly is an art.

There is a shocking musical moment on the second chorus where the group holds out an unexpected note on the word “more.” The harmonies are incredible. One man makes the sound of a car so well that it will amaze you. Then you hear some individual solos, and it is really nice to hear each voice.

There is beat boxing into a Skat (jazz style), it will get you so excited. This amazingly talented group even takes it to the next level, with the hip-hop style coming to an end, and the singer on the left hitting the lowest notes as a bass. It will wow you and no doubt put a smile on your face.

“So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Romans 12:5

Incredible Rendition of Hall Oates’ Classic ‘Kiss on My List’

The Hindley Street Country Club has created an incredible rendition of Hall & Oates’ classic “Kiss on My List.” They are the perfect cover band for this old hit, hands down. Play the video to see why!

The band’s lead vocalist, Jordan Lennon, has an incredible voice that matches Daryl Hall and John Oates’ extremely well. The band incorporates a lot of instruments into the song, and it sounds terrific. You’ll feel like you are right back in the 1980s when you listen to it. The band demonstrates tremendous flexibility as they learn new, varied covers.

Some of the lyrics from the 1980 song are:

When they want to know what the reason is
I only smile when I lie, then I tell them why
… your kiss is on my list
(Because your kiss) your kiss is on my list

The band’s arrangement shows their signature style, which oozes ultra talent in a laid-back style. They’ve got tons of chemistry, and they make the song look easy—but any musician would tell you it’s not. The incredible, crisp percussion, bright bassline, and quick keyboard accents all come together to create a marvelous musical arrangement.

Each of the 7 performers brings a lot of personality and passion to the cover. The cameraman keeps up with the energy of the song as he follows the frame over each member, whose skills shine. The band gives it their own identity without losing the sweet feel of the original song.

Their enthusiasm for “Your Kiss is On My List” is obvious, and it makes you feel enthusiastic and energetic, too, as you watch and listen. Whether you’re hearing this song for the first time or you’re a longtime Hall & Oates fan, you’ve got to love this awesome, nostalgic, and energetic cover by The Hindley Street Country Club.

Tom Petty Classic 'Free Fallin' Gets Fantastic Cover

Some moments on earth feel like they’re borrowed straight from heaven — unexpected, unpolished, but filled with the kind of beauty that makes strangers stop mid-stride. That’s exactly what happened on a busy London street when Atticus Blue and Andrew Duncan set up with nothing more than guitars and grit, and gave this Tom Petty classic ‘Free Fallin’ a fantastic cover.

People rushed by with coffees in hand, phones buzzing, lives swirling…but then something in the air shifted. One by one, pedestrians slowed. Some sat. Others leaned against a brick wall just to listen. And what these two young lads delivered was a version of a timeless American classic that felt free, unhurried, and full of soul — like the song suddenly remembered what it was always meant to be.

It’s a song so woven into American life that nearly everyone carries it in a playlist somewhere — a tune covered by dozens of artists through the years. But somehow, these two London street musicians tapped into something different. Something effortless.

As one listener put it: “How wonderful these lads are. I’ve got the shivers listening to them and I am 73. Give them some dosh for crying out loud!”

Another chimed in, “Brilliant voices and great harmonies.”
Someone else added with a grin, “Great cover, gentlemen. Live long and prosper.”

And the praise just kept rolling in:

“Absolutely brilliant. Love this song, and these guys did it proud.”
“Lots of talent in this world. Case in point. Spectacular voices.”
“Well done, Young Sirs, well done! Tom has a HUGE grin.”

What Atticus and Andrew created on that street corner wasn’t just music. It was a reminder that beauty can bloom in the middle of traffic noise, that strangers can be knit together for just a moment by the thread of a single song, and that God still drops little gifts into ordinary days to make us stop and breathe again.

Sometimes the most extraordinary performances don’t come from grand stages or glittering lights; just two voices rising into a city that didn’t know how much it needed them.

James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above.”

This Voice Contestant Wows with Incredible Stevie Wonder Cover

Prepare to be amazed! This voice contestant wows with his incredible Stevie Wonder cover!

As a dark room filled with an audience waits in anticipation, a young man breaks the silence. Max Chambers begins to sing with rich clarity and confidence, and the judges’ eyebrows raise as the crowd cheers. He starts with an a acapella and you will anticipate his every word. His runs are smooth and seem effortless; he soars, and his voice goes to unexpected places.

Max appears to love what he does. He has a genuine spirit about him with a sweet smile on his face, and he lights up the stage. The judges get super excited about his performance and cannot help but stand in the middle of it and clap.

There is such a suave tone, and the performance is riveting. The instruments backing him are also phenomenal. The instrumentalists kick it up a notch, and Max begins to shine even brighter with awe upon the faces of judges and cheers in the crowd.

You will not be able to sit still during this performance. You will be dancing along to the Stevie classic with this young man. As he sings, “When you check it out. When you get it off your trip,” you will be completely blown away and wish you were there in person.

Suddenly, a key change occurs, and Max seems remarkably comfortable, dancing with composure in his voice. He has such incredible moves. There is a significant pause, and all of a sudden he belts out “Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing!” He has the craziest range and most stunning runs. Max later goes on to receive a high honor of the Mic Drop award to sing at the Rose Parade from his coach.

This is clearly a God-given talent. Anything that we have to offer has been given from God. We are His creations and He is glorified through us.

“And he said, ‘Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.’" Job 1:21

Beautiful Piano Version of ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’

This is a beautiful piano instrumental version of the hit song “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” This cover of the classic Guns N’ Roses tune deserves to be listened to repeatedly. Watch the short but jaw-dropping clip to hear this delightful instrumental rendition of “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

Musical covers are here to stay. Thanks to shows like American Idol, The Voice and America’s Got Talent, as well as popular social media platforms like YouTube and TikTok, covers are arguably more popular than ever. Heck, there are entire bands that are dedicated to playing just covers. It seems that anyone and everyone who can even remotely sing or play an instrument can and will cover someone else’s song.

Lauren Daigle, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and Simon & Garfunkel are all popular targets regarding covers. It’s likely that when searching for covers of any of those artists on YouTube, you’ll receive hundreds, maybe thousands of pages of results. It makes sense why someone would cover those bands and musicians. If you want to gain recognition for your musical talents, it’s best to play songs people know from musicians people love, and that is the case with a recent piano instrumental cover posted on YouTube.

Guns N’ Roses, a classic rock band whose heyday was in the 1980s, remains a globally recognized band, with tunes that are still beloved. Whenever people think of the Axl Rose-fronted group, “Welcome to the Jungle” or “Paradise City” likely come to mind. For others, they probably immediately start humming “Sweet Child O’ Mine” whenever Guns N’ Roses is mentioned.

The video is an excellent, dazzling display of musical talent, as the musician’s fingers dance along the keyboard, nailing each key at the precise time. It is literal music to the ears, and it won’t matter that this is an instrumental, where the words have been removed, because you’ll probably be adding the iconic lyrics yourself as you listen to and watch the clip.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
