NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 15, 2025--

Doctronic AI, the AI-native health platform delivering fast, private, and personalized healthcare at scale, today announced the appointment of Byron Crowe, MD, MSc as Chief Medical Officer (CMO). In this role, Dr. Crowe will lead Doctronic’s clinical strategy and product innovation efforts while expanding the company’s affiliated nationwide physician practice.

In addition to his industry leadership, Dr. Crowe is an accomplished academic clinician, most recently serving on the faculty at Harvard Medical School and as a practicing physician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. His research focused on evaluating large language model–based AI systems in complex diagnosis and clinical reasoning, and he has co-authored landmark studies and major society guidelines on the use of AI in medicine. His work has been featured in JAMA, NEJM AI, and TheNew York Times, and Dr. Crowe has spoken nationally and internationally on AI’s role in redesigning health systems.

Dr. Crowe brings to Doctronic a unique combination of digital health leadership and academic expertise in AI. Most recently, as Chief Medical Officer at Solera Health, he helped build a curated network of digital health providers and scale solutions serving the nation’s largest payers and employers.

“Byron is the rare leader who combines deep clinical expertise, executive experience, and thought leadership in AI,” said Dr. Adam Oskowitz, Co-Founder of Doctronic. “His proven track record building healthcare technology organizations and shaping the national conversation on AI in medicine will be invaluable as we accelerate innovation, expand clinical partnerships, and scale AI-enabled care delivery with safety and trust at the core.”

Dr. Crowe is a graduate of the Emory University School of Medicine and holds a Master of Science in Clinical Informatics Management from Stanford University. He is board-certified in internal medicine and previously served as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School. This new role marks his transition from Harvard and Beth Israel Deaconess to join Doctronic full-time.

“Joining Doctronic is an opportunity to fundamentally change how patients interact with the healthcare system—bringing together the power and convenience of AI-driven care with the trust, empathy, and personalization only human clinicians can provide,” said Dr. Crowe. “Millions of patients still lack access to timely, high-quality care. Doctronic has built the AI engine for care delivery that works in service of patients and their physicians, not the other way around.”

This appointment caps a period of strong momentum for Doctronic, following its recent $20 million Series A led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. With accelerating growth, expanding partnerships, and rapid platform innovation, the company is advancing its mission to deliver safe, AI-enabled healthcare innovation to the masses.
