We recently caught up with Karen Kingsbury to discuss the film adaptation, its journey from page to screen, and the personal connections that made the project even more special. For those unfamiliar with Someone Like You, Kingsbury shared the essence of the story: a moving tale of love, faith, and redemption. The film follows a young woman who discovers shocking truths about her past, setting her on a path of self-discovery and healing.

The adaptation was particularly meaningful as the film was the debut project Kingsbury produced through her own production company alongside her son, Tyler Russell.

One of the most personal aspects of the film’s production was the involvement of Kingsbury’s son, Tyler Russell, who played a key role in making the movie a reality. Kingsbury also spoke about why Pure Flix and Great American Family were the ideal homes for Someone Like You.

With Someone Like You now available on Pure Flix and its upcoming TV premiere on Great American Family, Kingsbury’s storytelling continues to touch hearts, inspiring audiences with a message of faith and redemption.
