Alan Jackson Performs 'Are You Washed in the Blood?' and 'I'll Fly Away' Live

Alan begins playing ‘Are You Washed in the Blood’ with such fervor, joy, and has the audience clapping along. He is dressed in a cowboy hat with a suit jacket. The entire band jumps in from the beginning. He plays with confidence and sings with a wonderful voice. Alan has such ease on the stage. He is humble in his performance, but clearly is extremely talented. His background singers are phenomenal with their tight harmonies. The audience worships right along with this country artist.

Suddenly, Alan smoothly transitions into ‘I’ll Fly Away’ and wows the crowd. They begin to sing and clap along as the instrumentalists do incredible solos on the guitar and piano. They have swag and flare. Alan comes back in with his rich voice. It is amazing to hear the level of talent and the creativity of an older song and to hear the eternal promise of salvation.

These songs both invite us into the worship of our Savior Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins. Our faith in Him is everything. We are then reminded that Jesus is coming back one day and that we will go to heaven to live with Him. The gospel message is taught within the lyrics of these songs. We who are believers in Jesus can worship and celebrate along with Alan. At the end of the performance, Alan talks about how amazing those songs are and have been. Our hope is forever in Christ.
