WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep 26, 2025--

Siemens today announced that Barbara Humpton, President and CEO of Siemens USA, will retire from the company effective October 1, 2025. Ann Fairchild, General Counsel for Siemens USA, has been appointed interim President and CEO of Siemens USA effective October 1.

During her 14-year tenure with Siemens, including seven years as U.S. CEO, Humpton has been instrumental in strengthening Siemens’ position as a leading technology company in the United States.

Under her leadership, Siemens experienced significant growth in its largest market, including nearly $700 million in manufacturing expansions and multibillion-dollar investments aimed at integrating digital connectivity into the industrial world. She has played a pivotal role in positioning Siemens at the forefront of industrial AI, preparing the company to lead the next era of digital and data-driven transformation. Humpton’s dedication to developing talent and fostering innovation has also empowered Siemens’ 45,000 people across the U.S. to continue advancing industry and infrastructure across the nation.

Before becoming CEO of Siemens USA, Humpton served as President and CEO of Siemens Government Technologies, integrating Siemens’ advanced technologies across federal agencies and departments. Humpton has also served in numerous external board roles and appointments, helping align Siemens USA with broader economic, societal and policy goals.

Fairchild will assume the interim role beginning October 1. She has served as General Counsel for Siemens USA since 2017, where she has overseen legal, compliance, and regulatory matters across the company’s U.S. operations. With more than two decades of legal and business leadership experience, Fairchild has guided Siemens through complex transactions, strengthened corporate governance, and supported the company’s strategic initiatives in its largest market.

Further details on the permanent appointment will be announced at a later date.
