Diamond Quanta, Inc. (DQ) today announced it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ExtenD Co., Ltd., a spin-out from Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). The agreement establishes ExtenD as DQ’s strategic technical partner on HFCVD technology for Diamond Optics, adding advanced reactor modules and process know-how to DQ’s ecosystem. Together with Heller Industries, DQ’s exclusive system ODM/integrator, the collaboration defines a single toolchain to move diamond optics from lab validation to OEM production deployments and strengthen manufacturing readiness for optics applications.

This collaboration unites advanced reactor design and proven system integration to accelerate commercialization of engineered diamond optics across consumer, photonics, and defense markets.
